Child of God (Poetry)

GOD has a plan         Should I stay or should I go?    Jesus is the only one who knows I don’t know what he wants me to do I only know that I’m so tired of feeling used God has a plan! That I understand Lead the way, I’ll continue to pray Because it’s God’s will, not my ways. I pray for wisdom to do what is right And a vision of the future for my blind eyes My mind is clouded, I can’t think straight And only God knows my fate. I’m waiting upon the Lord to guide my way Stopping to listen to what my spirit has to say Should I leave everything behind? And press forward into a new life I’m leaving it to God, it’s in his time. I pray I don’t make a mistake or mess things up leaving everything behind as I go in a rush I whisper to Jesus, just say the word, and I’ll leave with my daughters Or tell me to stay and I’ll make amends with their father Either way, I’m trusting you’ll bring back my laughter Because I know my happiness to you is all that really mat...

Are you there? Losing faith in myself Things I believe in, thoughts so deceiving. What am I really worth? Jesus, are you there? Am I yours? Wondering and questioning These tricks my mind plays, Thoughts my mind says Depression tries to set in. Are you there? Standing my ground When the devil comes around He wages war, trying to knock me down He pushes and punches without a sound He uses people I love to hurt me Here we go, another round! It’s so exhausting! But I will not back down   I refuse to give up! Jesus is my strength and shield, he fills my cup. Fear I have not, Faith I have a lot! The devil will leave this place, Because I’m covered by Jesus’ amazing grace I know his unfailing love and faithfulness always protects me, therefore evil cannot break me. There is a battle, I cannot see, When I’ve lost my strength, I know Jesus is fighting for me. And he will put evil on its knees. Rosalinda Loy

Watch over my son Dear Lord, watch over my son. My little boy grown into a man Dealing with issues I definitely understand, Guide his steps and hold his hand Lead him in your direction And teach him to be a godly man, Protect him from the enemy Who would love to bring him down And drag him to places he shouldn’t be around Or accuse him of things with whispering sounds. Father God I praise your holy name, I give you all the glory, honor and praise Please, Forgive my sins today And help me to live your way. Change me, mold me and transform me Into who you made me to be Give me ears to hear and eyes to see, And cleanse me from any sin within me, Take from me the bad and things unclean, Search my heart O Lord! Remove all that is not from you And fill me with your light and truth, Cover me with your holy blood, my Lord!
